Maryanne Reed

Born in Buffalo and raised on Joseph Avenue, with 6 brothers and no sisters I must say I turned out pretty good! EAST SIDE ROCKS! I am a proud grandma and love spoiling the grandbabies. I try real hard to move to Hip Hop and Rap music…But…let me just say the Bethel Express kids get a laugh out of watching me. I must be quite a sight; absolutely no rhythm comes from this body. But I will still make sure they get a good breakfast on Saturday mornings…While the Bible is my reading preference I do enjoy a good book by John Grisham. I once heard Mike Peace say, “Jesus is still on the throne and there ain’t no one big and bad enough to take Him down!! So by far that is one of my favorite quotes. Ok, now don’t laugh, but my most funny moment was while in a rest room at the mall, somehow the end of the toilet paper got caught in the waistband of my pants. Not knowing this I proceeded to the sink, washed my hands and then walked out the door into the mall…I had a trail of toilet paper behind me!!! (I told you not to laugh!!) GO BILLS ! ! ! ! I am NOT a “closet” Buffalo Bills fan

Mr. Dan

Well they call me Mr. Dan. I think I’m pretty low key, easy going and I love JESUS! I began in Bethel Express in 1992 as the bus driver picking up the BE children. After 14 years of my wife’s prayers, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1993. The enemy tried to snuff out my life when I was 3 years old and again recently with the diagnosis of prostate cancer…..BUT JESUS WON! I am the proud Husband to my beautiful wife, Maryanne, and have 4 wonderful children, Daniel, James, Benjamin and Carolynne, along with 5 grandchildren. Not to mention the many spiritual children I have in Bethel Express. I enjoy football, fishing and hunting. I was a football referee’ for Section V and a baseball umpire for many years. What I say about myself “I’m the butcher, the baker, but not the candle stick maker”. My wife is that! My favorite Scripture verse is Matthew 18:3, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” Not much to say except that I LOVE JESUS! Oh, and I like the Bills!

Jan Zaccardo

I was born in Rochester, NY, the middle child of a five girl family. I grew up in a wonderful Christian home and attended a great church. When I went to college, I slowly separated myself from what God wanted for my life and became quite rebellious spiritually. I had a great career in teaching and thought I was OK, but God thought differently. He allowed me to get into a very painful, difficult place and because of His mercy, I cried out to Him and have never looked back since!! My life is truly blessed day by day because of God’s goodness. Children who come to my house are amazed that I don’t watch TV. I love to read God’s word and great books that teach me more about Him. Because of my involvement with children for most of my life, I think I know where every playground is in the greater Rochester area – spray parks as well! I love to learn new things, and going to the hair store with some of my BE girls has been a true education for me (just ask them)! My favorite passage from God’s Word is Proverbs 3:5-6. My favorite quote is “Keep the main thing the main thing”, and the main thing is my relationship with the Lord.
